My gallery show is almost here, so excited! There are six artist's in the show, we are all showing the paintings we painted on our travels. My paintings are of St. Jean De La Porte, France. Last June, a group of painters led by Ada Brown, & Barbra Ashton traveled to France to paint the countryside, and paint we did! I woke up with the sun, took morning walks with my camera, ate fresh baked croissants, fruit in season, then headed out to pick our morning spots. We painted fresh mowed wheat fields, the pond where the locals recreate, and hillside vineyards. There was never a shortage of beautiful scenes, after the morning paint out, we moved to our afternoon spot, where we painted till the heat got the better of us. Then on to the little pond on the property...freezing cold, but felt divine after a day of painting. After 2 1/2 weeks of true bliss, it was time to say goodbye! The time spent in France was a treasured memory, which I get to share with others at the Schromburg Gallery, if your in the Area (Santa Monica, Ca) would love to meet you, Hope to see you there!
